Mesh-Native Weather Station
Combine environmental sensors across devices to build a hyper-local weather station.
What you'll build
Vertical stack context: DOSFIUniversity (research) → DOSFI Academy (this course) → MeshNativeExchange (publishing & monetizing). Students progress from Learning → Building → Publishing → Monetizing. This module introduces the development of a Mesh-Native Weather Station application within the DOSFI ecosystem, emphasizing distributed subsystem design, data flow, and system integration. Learners will gain practical skills in configuring and deploying sensor nodes, utilizing the MeshInfer platform, implementing privacy and routing policies, and managing state transitions. The course provides a comprehensive view of subsystem responsibilities in building a reliable, privacy-aware weather monitoring solution.
Skills you'll practice
- Understand the architecture of a Mesh-Native Weather Station including sensor nodes, DIU, and Transport Layer
- Implement data flow for sensor data collection, processing, and dissemination using MeshInfer and MNE
- Configure Privacy Tier settings and Identity Fabric for secure sensor data exchange
- Design and deploy state machines and workflows for sensor node management and data reporting
