Introduction to the Mesh-Native Transport Layer
Understand what the Transport Layer is, why it exists in DOSFI, and how it moves intelligence safely across the mesh.
About this course
Vertical stack context: DOSFIUniversity (research) → DOSFI Academy (this course) → MeshNativeExchange (publishing & monetizing). Students progress from Learning → Building → Publishing → Monetizing. The Mesh-Native Transport Layer is the subsystem inside DOSFI that moves intelligence — bundles, payloads, and inference results — safely and verifiably across mesh nodes. This course introduces the Transport Layer at a beginner level: what it is, what problem it solves, and where it sits between DOSFI Foundations and the MeshInfer inference fabric. You will learn the vocabulary you need before studying adapters, the lifecycle, and settlement. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the Mesh-Native Transport Layer, focusing on the architectural principles of how data traverses the DOSFI ecosystem. Students will learn the mechanical interaction between the Distributed Intelligence Unit (DIU), the Identity Fabric, and the MNE to ensure reliable packet delivery, state consistency, and policy-driven routing within a Mesh-Native topology.
