Transport × DOSFI Foundations
How the Transport Layer builds on DOSFI Foundations: services, device primitives, and local execution.
About this course
Vertical stack context: DOSFIUniversity (research) → DOSFI Academy (this course) → MeshNativeExchange (publishing & monetizing). Students progress from Learning → Building → Publishing → Monetizing. DOSFI Foundations provides the base operating primitives — device services, local storage, and execution surfaces. The Transport Layer builds on top of Foundations to coordinate movement across those devices. This course explains the boundary between Foundations and Transport at an intermediate level: what Foundations owns, what Transport owns, and how they cooperate during a bundle's lifecycle. This module provides an in-depth analysis of the Transport layer within the Mesh-Native ecosystem, emphasizing the critical components such as routing policies, adapters, and the state machine. Participants will explore the architectural design principles that underpin reliable, secure, and efficient data flow between nodes, with practical insights into deploying DOSFI in real-world mesh environments. The course emphasizes the deterministic behaviors and subsystem responsibilities essential for maintaining system coherence and privacy tiers.
