About this course
Vertical stack context: DOSFIUniversity (research) → DOSFI Academy (this course) → MeshNativeExchange (publishing & monetizing). Students progress from Learning → Building → Publishing → Monetizing. This course explores the architecture of state management within a distributed mesh environment. Moving beyond traditional client-server paradigms, we examine how state persists, teleports, and maintains consistency through Distributed Intelligence Units (DIUs). We cover local-first persistence, CRDT-based state reconciliation, privacy-aware synchronization, and failure recovery in an asynchronous, partitioned network.
What you'll build
- Understand the state teleportation lifecycle within the DOSFI mesh.
- Implement conflict resolution patterns using state-based CRDTs.
- Enforce privacy and security at the node boundary.
- Design for local-first availability in partitioned network states.
- Analyze trade-offs in distributed consistency models.
Prerequisites
- Proficiency in concurrent programming primitives.
- Familiarity with distributed systems consensus algorithms (Raft/Paxos).
- Understanding of event-driven architectures.
